Top ten places for food in York

In honour of the York Food and Drink Festival which takes place from the 23rd September – 2nd October this year, I thought I’d give a quick round up of my top ten places to go for food in York. The Food and Drink Festival is well worth a visit. Parliament Street is taken over by a fantastic food market, and a range of tastings, demonstrations and workshops take place throughout the week. Much ado about the Minster

York Minster is one of the largest gothic cathedrals in Northern Europe and is regularly listed as a top thing to do in York. I’ve visited the Minster numerous times during the time that I have lived here, and I’ve never failed to be impressed by its grandeur. However, up until yesterday I had never been up the Tower and I am so glad it is something that I have now ticked off my bucket list. View Post

A short rant on Theatre Etiquette

I was recently lucky enough to go and see Guys and Dolls at the Phoenix Theatre in London. It was a great show, and whilst not as spectacular as some of the shows I have seen, it still comes highly recommended and was a lot funnier than I had anticipated. Park life

There’s definitely something to be said for just sitting in a park and soaking up the sun. Often when I travel somewhere I’m too eager to fit in as much as possible, to see as many places as I possibly can whilst I’m there, in case I never return and have the same opportunity again.
