A Review of the Year and Lessons learned in 2022

Well somehow another year has come and gone, and 2022 certainly seemed to fly by! To say we started the year in fear of the rise of another COVID strain, and we’ve ended it with COVID barely being mentioned over the festive period feels like a real turnaround. 2022 hasn’t been without it’s challenges, but it’s also a year I’ll remember for a very long time due to some of the great experiences we’ve had. A Review of the Year and Lessons Learned in 2021

Despite 2021 starting with a lockdown, I began the year feeling cautiously optimistic. I felt refreshed after a winter break of not being able to do very much, people were getting vaccinated and the days were starting to get longer. Sure, it looked like we were going to have to postpone our wedding celebrations and honeymoon again (we did!) but it felt a little like we were on the way to recovery. View Post

It’s the end of the year which must mean that it’s time for my classic end of year round up! I was keen to leave 2018 behind but was unsure what 2019 was going to bring. We had a number of plans already set out at the start of the year which meant I knew it was going to be a busy one, but also a year filled with opportunities to see friends. View Post

A few things I’ve learned from 2018…

2018 was always going to have a lot to live up to. 2017 had involved changing job, moving city and an awful lot of travel. It finished with our incredible trip to New Zealand, and getting engaged, so I was skeptical from the beginning about how 2018 was going to live up to the previous year.  View Post
