A few things I’ve learned from 2017

I swear I say it every year but where has the last year gone? It doesn’t feel like a year since I was writing about 2016 but once again I’ve managed to fit a lot into the last year. One night in Oxford

Oxford is another UK city that until recently I had heard a lot about but hadn’t really ever seen. My only previous visit to Oxford had been for a university open day, so whilst I saw the historic colleges and a lot of the university buildings, I didn’t really see much else and couldn’t enjoy it at my own pace (having a mad schedule of talks and tours to get to). Fortunately the opportunity to visit came up again recently as Oxford became a useful halfway point to visit a friend. View Post

2017 here I come!

Happy New Year! We’ve now reached 2017 and many people will be turning their thoughts to New Year’s Resolutions. Perhaps you’ve already broken one… Last year I wrote a post that was less about resolutions and more about goals. Visualising where I would like to see myself in a year’s time and what I can do to get myself there. It’s not the end of the world if I don’t complete them, but they are things I would like to achieve. What do you want to get out of this year? View Post
