Bettys, York

I walked through the centre of York last week on a brief visit, and could tell that tourist season had well and truly kicked in. How? The long queue of people outside of Bettys. When the line on a Tuesday lunchtime is as long as it would usually be on a Saturday, you know that tourist season in York has arrived. Rustique, Castlegate, York

Most people who are familiar with York are familiar with the delights of Rustique. The hardest goodbye, to my house, housemates, and the beautiful city of York is looming ever closer and however reluctant I am, it is something I will have to do.

Review: Thomas’s of York Pub and Kitchen, York

Thomas’s of York Pub and Kitchen claims to be York’s quirkiest pub, which is no small claim given the large number of pubs in York (there’s supposedly one for every day of the year!). However, I think they might be right. I’ve certainly never been anywhere quite like it!
